Weather on Windows 7

Post by nasse »

How can I get the weather scripts working on windows 7? I've tried 4 different plugins now and none of them are connecting despite of rainmeter being ran as administrator.

The Accuweather feed is dead. Has been for I think 9 months or a year. You might try a different skin that uses Weather.com or Weather.Yahoo.com or something.

URL=http://xml.weather.com/weather/local/22033?cc=*&dayf=6

URL=http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?w=12766801&u=f

Those both work for my location.

Do understand that it isn't as simple as changing the URL in a skin... The skin's RegExp and all the measures are designed for a particular feed. You can change it all for a new weather feed, but it isn't trivial. Best to hit: http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/sysmonitor/rainmeter/?order=5 and find a reasonably recent weather skin you like.
