installation help!

Post by isaiahstock »

Hi, new to rainmeter and all, and i started out going to downloads, and then enigma (or any of them), install, save to desktop, and then it shows up as "enigma_by_kaelri-d1ptasn.rmskin", and not a .rar file or something.

when i click on that, it tells me that windows cannot open this file.
i'm sure this sounds completely stupid, but cut me a little slack, i'm new.

thanks in advance

If you installed Rainmeter 1.3 or better using the installer, there should be a file association for .rmskin. If you installed "portable", you will need to go to your Rainmeter folder, and under \Addons\RainStaller, run RainStaller.exe. It will then prompt you to find and open your .rmskin file. RainStaller will take it from there.
