I think I would do some google searching and see how to add a "program exception" or "folder exception" to AVG. You need to have it ignore:
The Program:
Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Rainmeter
Windows Vista & Win7: C:\Program Files\Rainmeter
Rainmeter.exe
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\Application Data\Rainmeter
Windows Vista & Win7: C:\Users\YourName\Appdata\Roaming\Rainmeter
