So I've been using Windows XP for many years now, and I've got a bug that has corrupted my Windows files somewhere. I asked some of my computer science friends and they suggested just saving everything to an external and reinstalling windows. So I've decided to upgrade my OS to Windows 7. But with this daunting task comes the realization that I spent about 10 hours getting all my rainmeter skins the way I wanted them and having to redo all that work is going to be a huge pain in the ass.
How do I smoothly transition my rainmeter skins and configs as they are now, to my new OS with minimal effort?
I'm sorry if there are already instructions on how to do this on the forum, I had no clue how to go about finding it.

Re: Changing Operating Systems
Copy Documents/Rainmeter/Skins and %APPDATA%/Rainmeter to your external drive. After you've installed Win7, copy those files back and then install Rainmeter.
You might also want to copy Program Files/Rainmeter/Addons.
%APPDATA% will be:
C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data (WinXP)
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming (Win7)
