RSS Marquee (merry-go-round)

Post by kenmine »

I need a Rainmeter Customizing skin that can display RSS like HTML marquee.

The RSS text can scroll them as a creeping line.

The RSS text can run from right to left.

And the skin can adjust the font size, speed and text colour and background colour.

I want to display the RSS news header and date time.

It like a Google Gadgets - LiveRSS.

Is the skin already can found on web? What is the skin name? Where can I found it?

If the skin can't found in the web, how can I develop this skin?

Thank you very much.

If you search the forums for marquee, you will find some earlier discussions about this. It is in theory possible, but given the limited capabilities of Rainmeter for text animation, probably not really practical. The CPU usage of such a skin would likely be catastrophic.

Thank you for your reply.

I found a skin similar to this.

Scrolling RSS Feed

http://frankm77.deviantart.com/art/Scroling-Rss-Feed-1-2-165532308?q=boost%3Apopular+in%3Acustomization%2Fskins%2Fsysmonitor%2Frainmeter+rss&qo=5

But it have 5 headers only.

How can I add more headers?

And how can I add the header date/time into the scrolling rss feed?

Thank you.
