Helllllp? Need 2 graphics

Post by sgtevmckay »

hello Folks

I am tired of searching and my brain hurts. :(

I need 2 small graphics (approximately 20 x 20)

These 2 graphics need to be simple and identifiable.

These will be used as our
"Help" Icon
And our
"Solved" Icon

These are so that we members can quickly identify a thread that still requires assistance, and whether that thread issue has been corrected.

the graphical talents at the forums impress me, and I found nothing of interest in a search, so I am asking for your folks help in this matter.

If you have a graphic idea, please keep it simple and readily identifiable, and submit here.

Thanks in advance.

I made a mock-up image to test several candidates that I have right now ...

I am licking the Blue "?" Mark
and
the gold "Star"

These are, visually, quickly identifiable. By shape and color.

Other thoughts?

I also like the blue question mark, and although the star is nice I wonder if a green check mark might signify "fixed" better?

Here are big versions of a couple of nice ones which could be shrunk down...

Never do anything small do you?

I was hoping for a check mark over a star, but was unsure about anything coming forward

I think a star (particularly a yellow one) has come to signify "favorites" in the Windows world, and a check mark might be more clear.

I can live with a check mark. I was just taking it back to grade school where you got a star on your paper for good work ;)

I'm still looking for other ideas ...

To all members:

Your suggestions are welcome even if you don't have any graphic for it, I will try to do the images based on your ideas!

GM, can you make the check marks standout more? Maybe an outline?
