Rainmeter hanging?

Post by Benji »

Hey guy i only recently encountered the epic rainmeter. I proceeded immediately to download it.
I'm having some problems though.
I am running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I downloaded the 64bit.exe and installed it no problems there.
The problem is that the program is hanging really bad. and i keep getting an error stating that the rainmeter.ini cannot be written to.
Is there anyway to stop Rainmeter from hanging so badly?
(It is not my computer its an enthusiast PC that I have overclocked beyond all recognition..)

Is there any sort of antivirus on the computer that doesn't allow programs to write to the %appdata% folder?
There should be no problems to write there for rainmeter... That's the whole reason why it is there, so you don't get that problem...
And the whole "rainmeter hanging" also make me suspect that some AV is interfering with rainmeter. We've seen this with some AV's. http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3616
If you do have a AV, put rainmeter and its folders as a exeption.

You could also try this to give us more info: http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4394
I don't think, therefore I'm not.
