OpenType font support

Post by Zxurian »

JSMorley helped me get it working in my case, but it might be nice for Rainmeter to natively support OpenType fonts.

??????

I would have an opinion on this, before it gets forwarded.

I thought that Rainmeter did support these fonts and that it may have been a Vista issue that prevented use?

I know that some prior skins worked fine, but not in a Vista environment.

What are the findings so far?

I don't see anything about the font problem that is a "Vista vs XP" issue. I also don't think it is true that no OpenType fonts work. I think there are "some" OpenType fonts that don't work, and it may have to do with poorly made / saved fonts, or some change in the OpenType standard that Rainmeter hasn't caught up with yet. I'm just not sure, but will do some more testing to see if I can zero in on anything.
