Re: Unfocusing skin when entering InputText field
It's not a dll issue. It was a lua issue. Replace the lua file code in HotInput example with this.

It seems I strongly misunderstood you and didn't realize that's a lua code. But since previously we were talking about the HotInput plugin, I thought the posted code is the code of the plugin, even if at a first look I should have been realize that's a lua code. Definitely my bad, sorry for my mistake.
However now I replaced the content of the @Resources\InputHandler.lua file by the one posted, and nothing is working anymore. I can't click to the skin to can enter the string. It doesn't react to the click. Something is still not alright. Sorry, but this is it...

It's not that simple: Cariboudjan not only posted the .lua script he's using for his DropTop Four suite (because the script has references to that in it), but he's also using various other options in his [InputHandler] Script measure and possibly the plugin measure compared to the original code in the example skin (which you can notice at the start of the script in the SELF:GetOption() functions). Obviously, you, balala, don't have or use the script with the DropTop Four suite, and obviously, you, Cariboudjan, don't use the plugin with the example skin anymore - which is why things don't work. As soon as you both come to a common ground here, I suspect the "plugin" (well, the .lua part of it) will work with non English characters for balala too, like in Cariboudjan's screenshot.balala wrote: ↑September 7th, 2024, 12:06 pm

A file content comparison between the original .lua and the one posted by Cariboudjan easily reveals the differences I mentioned above (apart from the [InputHandler] measure's options, of course). I do have such a file content comparison integrated in my file manager, so it was clear why this seems to "not work" for balala. I'm sure the said differences are not that extensive or complicated to deal with, but they're enough to make the sample skin not work after copy pasting the .lua script above.

Yep, you probably are right, however this simply doesn't worth for me to deal with. I'm quite happy with the InputText plugin, which works with no such problems and adjustments needed to be done in order to get it working. So, sorry, at this moment I quit from using the HotInput plugin. As said, simply doesn't worth for me to work with it.Yincognito wrote: ↑September 7th, 2024, 2:15 pm It's not that simple: Cariboudjan not only posted the .lua script he's using for his DropTop Four suite (because the script has references to that in it), but he's also using various other options in his [InputHandler] Script measure and possibly the plugin measure compared to the original code in the example skin (which you can notice at the start of the script in the SELF:GetOption() functions). Maybe once later, when I'm gonna have much more time to work with it, I'll be back with a try. But right now, since the issue I asked help with is fixed, I don't work with the HotInput plugin.
Sorry...

Re: Unfocusing skin when entering InputText field
Yeah, well, I only wanted to clarify why it didn't work for you, since you seemed interested in seeing if it works with non English characters, that's all. The rest, what you do afterwards, is of course, entirely up to you.balala wrote: ↑September 7th, 2024, 8:10 pm Yep, you probably are right, however this simply doesn't worth for me to deal with. Yep, thanks for the information, I really appreciate them. Just doesn't seem to worth working anymore with this, at least now. At the first moment seemed good, however it seems complicated enough not to worth anymore.Yincognito wrote: ↑September 7th, 2024, 10:09 pm Yeah, well, I only wanted to clarify why it didn't work for you, since you seemed interested in seeing if it works with non English characters, that's all. But thank you anyway.

Re: Unfocusing skin when entering InputText field
Hey, Cariboudjan, you have a DropTop Four user asking for some help and details here:
https://forum.rainmeter.net/viewtopic.php?t=44513
Maybe you could check the thread and see what's that all about or provide a solution for it, when you have time.
