Help with windows shortcuts

Post by sl23 »

I've been looking for a way to do two things, though I'm not sure these are possible with simple shortcuts through Rainmeter or not.

The first is a link direct to the WindowsDefender/Virus and Threat Protection app, or even the Windows Security app would help. But the current shortcut open the Settings app where you then have to select Windows Security app and then click Virus and Threat Protection!
I've checked the Manual and googled several things to try find a way to get these links, but nothing seems to come up. I did find this, but it still only opens the Windows Settings app at the security page, NOT the actual app for Threats.

Second, of less a priority, but would like to know nonetheless, is it possible to open the RecycleBin in a specified FileManager other than explorer.exe?

Thanks.

EDIT: Solved the first. Was a typo! :?

Regarding the second question, it obviously depends on the said file manager, but yes (left - the drive specific recycle bin folder, right - the system specific one):

Thanks. I thought it would be dependant on the file manager. XYplorer does have an option to open the RecycleBin, but seems only the default way through explorer. I thought there may be a generic solution or something. I'm sure I can live with it... O.O

lol sorry, should look where I'm going!

Well, Columbus made the same mistake, but look what he discovered, so... :D
