Color faded image

So I was trying to do the visualizer behind an image like this video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIGQRdo5GSY
And the image that was on top was color faded, I checked the original png file and the color was fine, it only fades when loading the png. Wonder if anyone has encountered this or knows a solution to it
