I'm on windows 11, I have just installed the 4.5.11 update and can not now edit any skin at all, nothing happens. I can load/unload but not edit.
I'll add to state that going back to the previous version had no change, nor did a reboot.
I did update windows 11 earlier today though, update was: February 15, 2022—KB5010414 (OS Build 22000.527) Preview

just in case this has somehow conflicted with Rainmeter & Win 11

What you mean by can't edit? If you right click a skin and click Edit skin, nothing happens? This is what's happening?techguyone wrote: ↑February 17th, 2022, 8:37 pm I'm on windows 11, I have just installed the 4.5.11 update and can not now edit any skin at all, nothing happens. Open Manage Rainmeter dialog. Click the Settings (last, fourth) tab and check the Editor field. There you should have the path of the text editor you want to use to edit the .ini files. Is there a valid path of such an editor?techguyone wrote: ↑February 17th, 2022, 9:27 pm Correct, I press the button, and it indicates its been pressed but nothing else happens.

Re: Bug 4.5.11 unable to edit any skin (windows 11)
This is in mine
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsNotepad_10.2103.6.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\Notepad\Notepad.exe
--update
Which is really.... odd, especially as it seems to be a protected folder that I can't access.
--further update
Solved:
I went back to basics and pointed the editing to C:\Windows\System32\notepad.exe
This works, not too sure what all this 'ms app' stuff is supposed to achieve luckily I still have ye olde notepad on the computer. Might be something to look at for the future though as Microsoft store/apps is being pushed more and more heavily on the MS ecosystem these days and the sytsrtem32 version's days may be numbered.

Re: Bug 4.5.11 unable to edit any skin (windows 11)
The reason why that didn't work is because those folders are protected by Microsoft by having the read only, hidden and system attributes - and probably other restrictions in the Security tab of their context menu Properties, like account access or ownership.techguyone wrote: ↑February 18th, 2022, 8:59 am This is in mine
