Help with text not appearing [SOLVED]

First off, I'm extremely new to Rainmeter (as in I downloaded it only a few hours ago). Overall, it's pretty cool. However, I'm having an issue with text not appearing. I tried searching for "no text" or "text not appearing" on the forum search, but apparently the search engine automatically disregards the words "no" and "not" so it brought up virtually every thread in existence on this site. I also figure it's not a problem I can find in the manual because I haven't changed anything at all.
Rainmeter looks really sweet, but it would probably be even sweeter if it would tell me things. It seems to have all the pictures and whatnot, but there's absolutely no text at all in any of the areas where there's supposed to be the CPU meters, the note section, and whatnot. Again, I haven't changed any settings at all, so I don't know what the deal is. If it helps, I'm using 1.1, 32-bit. Thanks!

which skin are you using , do you have the font installed ???

I'm using Enigma preview. I did try messing with the fonts a bit, trying ones that I knew were installed (Times New Roman, Arial, etc.), but nothing worked.

Don't change the Variables in that file. Open EnigmaConfigure.exe. Now are you saying no text ever showed up anywhere since you installed Rainmeter?

No, there has been no text anywhere except for the small window that shows up on launch with the title "ENIGMA" and has options to view Instructions in a .pdf, launch RainBrowser, RainThemes, RainConfigure, open rainmeter.net for support, and read the RainMeter license. That is the only window that has ever had text.
For instance (and this is going to be referencing the picture of
Enigma on deviantART), the part where it shows the weather in London shows nothing on mine other than the clock, the background map of the world, and the current mini-preview picture of the weather. For the CPU meter (mine is on the right side of the screen, but I can tell it's supposed to be the same thing), it has the graph that moves and refreshes with what appears to be my computer's memory and whatnot, but nothing that says my IP address, nothing that says SSID, WiFi, LAN, or WAN. The placeholders are all there since it looks identical (minus the text, of course), but just no text anywhere. I messed with the text file for the to-do list and nothing shows up in that box either.

I'm certain, based on the behavior, that there is an issue with the settings in UserVariables.inc that are set when you use EnigmaConfigure.exe. It sounds like the sizes of the fonts is being set to an invalid value, so they are in effect being set to "0" and are not visible. Try exiting Rainmeter, then renaming UserVariables.inc to UserVariables.bak or something, and making a copy of DefaultVariables.inc as UserVariables.inc. Now start Rainmeter. Do the meters display text? The info will be wrong / default, but does it show at all?
If so, then you should be able to use EnigmaConfigure.exe to set the value correctly for your location / email address and whatever other changes you want. Just be careful, particularly in messing with font sizes. To be honest Enigma just doesn't easily support changes in font sizes unless you know what you are doing and are willing to directly edit some .ini code.
If not, then we will have to look further, but I'm betting that this is the issue.

jsmorley, good call with the UserVariables.inc. Your suggestion worked perfectly and I can actually see things now! Now just to edit all the personalize-able stuff.
