MegaNerd Digital Clock

Post by Infideluxe »

I'm a clock nerd, and I like numbers.

Image

From the top:

• Year
• Seconds Elapsed
• Percentage of the Year Elapsed
• Day of the Week
• Date
• Month
• Time
• Day of the Year

Anyway, I got it out in time for the New Year rollover. Get it at https://www.deviantart.com/infideluxe/art/MegaNerdClock-0-0001-902379857?ga_submit_new=10%3A1640974657.

Happy 2022 everyone!

Still to come: gentle hourly (or whatever) alarms reminding you to get up from your desk, walk around, drink water.

NOTE: an off-by-one error has been fixed since the original post was made.

If you'd prefer non-zero-padded Date and DayCount, check out MegaNerdClock 0.0002 here: https://www.deviantart.com/infideluxe/art/MegaNerdClock-0-0002-902478496

Understood, but that's intentional.

24-hr clocks should always be zero-padded. It's the law.

12-hr am/pm clocks are an abomination. Also, a universal truth.

Thank you, death.crafter!

(I apologize... I don't know the syntax for creating a proper linked user reference for you. That is a fantastic name, incidentally.)

This version (0.3) introduces more consistent (heavy) stroke weights across all strings:

Here's a layout reference image that confirms adequate fit for everything.

From the top:

Year
Seconds Elapsed
Percentage of the Year Elapsed
Day of Week
Day of Month
Month
Time (24-hour)
Day of Year

Still to come: gentle hourly (or whatever) alarms reminding you to get up from your desk, walk around, drink water.

Both of these have varied stroke weights:

If you'd prefer non-zero-padded Date and DayCount, check out MegaNerdClock 0.0002

And no, I won't add a weather/temperature meter to this because I absolutely don't care about the weather.
It's useless information. I can look outside if I'm really curious.
This is California.
The weather is boring.
Everything's either on fire or it's not.

However, a nice earthquake thingamabob might be interesting...
