[SOLVED]WebParser not working

Post by David8192 »

(Fetch error) The system cannot find the file specified. (ErrorCode=2) (WebParserTutorial\WebParserTutorial.ini - [MeasureSite])

I have wrestled this issue for a long time, so, here it is.
It appears that Rainmeter does not make any online connection.
Initially, all was fine but around Rainmeter 4.4.0, I have never been able to get the WebParser doing anything useful. So far I have only tried it on Windows 7 for a good number of users who decided not to upgrade to later versions of Windows.

Is this a compatibility issue? And if so, Will reverting to an earlier version of Rainmeter mean using Webparser as a plugin?

Thanks. That was awesome. For some (microsoft) reason, IE settings affected the outcome of Webparser. I never liked IE but now, I guess, I have no choice???

No, for heavens sake don't use IE. Just be sure your proxy settings in IE are correct, and then forget about it.
