If you are referring to the Gadgets All CPU Meter, let me know. There's a dedicated thread for this suite here. It could be related to your uninstall-reinstall post with your skin path.

Thank you for your kind reply - I decided to install everything fresh. No bad skin encountered. I'm sure there are too many possible causes for such issues. So far, all's well.
