i can't run rainmeter

Rainmeter runs only when there are no skins. if i try loading one, it crashes. i have tried different skins, but none of them works. I also tried formatting my computer, but Rainmeter just won't start. i also looked at this https://docs.rainmeter.net/tips/clean-rainmeter-uninstall/ but nothing changed.

If you entirely clean up using that link above, and install a fresh copy of Rainmeter, do the default Illustro skins load for you?

As a test try uninstalling it and installing it as a portable version and see if that will run skins. You do not have to install it on a USB stick.
