There is no reason why you should have to set Rainmeter to "Run as administrator" for it to work ok.

I would follow this guide,

https://docs.rainmeter.net/tips/clean-rainmeter-uninstall/

And ensure that during the installation, "Run Rainmeter on startup" is checked.

Hi, I have the same problem. rm doesn't start at WIN10 startup. I have start rm manually, and I've been asked for the admin-password. How can I prevent this. I uninstalled rm and installed v4.3 from a fresh download.

No idea really. Perhaps you are in a shared computer environment (company or school) where there is some "group policy" that isn't allowing it, or the account you are logging into Windows with doesn't have full Administrator rights. One these is almost certain to be true if when you launch Rainmeter manually, you are getting a UAC prompt and it is asking you for an administrator password. Rainmeter requires that YOU be an administrator on your system, but doesn't in and of itself require administrator privileges.

And you are quite sure that you have a shortcut for Rainmeter in:

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Which will look like this:

Automatically starts for me on Win10 (64-bit).

Do you get a prompt for admin password? (See the post above)

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Do you see a Raindrop Icon in the notification area of the taskbar?
