[bug] Intense lag while running Aura Sync

I've been using rainmeter for several years and in my experience it relies mostly on the cpu but recently I installed 16GB of new Trident Z rgb in my pc and run aura sync to configure the patterns. But while the program is running, there are huge delays between rainmeter ticks, sometimes an entire minute between ticks. Even when my layout only has a single skin, the ticks are still delayed by a huge factor. But if I kill the "Lighting Service" generated by aura sync, the program goes back to normal immediately. What could be causing this? Specs are as follows:

Windows 10
Intel i7 7700K at 4.8GHz
GTX 1070 5171-KR
Trident Z 3000MHz
ASRock Z270 Taichi
Rainmeter is installed on a Western Digital Black edition 512GB PCI express M.2 drive if that matters.

the bug is still actively preventing rainmeter from working. rainmeter only works for a few minutes when the service is started and then bugs again.
