Hey guys, so I just started using Rainmeter for the first time in years yesterday. All was going well until today when I was downloading some skins and it crashed. I tried re-starting it multiple times and it keeps crashing when I try to open it. I think it might be a bad skin I tried to download. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it but it keeps crashing.

Not sure how to fix this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

If a standard install, delete "C:\Users\{yourusername}\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter\Rainmeter.ini". Then re-start Rainmeter; it will load the illustro intro skins.

If a portable install, delete "Rainmeter.ini" from the folder you installed it to, and re-start Rainmeter.

You will need to find the defective skin that is crashing Rainmeter and remove it.

I would highly recommend saving a blank layout named 'blank', so if you are stuck with a crashing program, you can run "C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\Rainmeter.exe !LoadLayout blank" and get the program up and running again.
