Color Of Sound

Post by eclectic-tech »

cosfam.jpg
A collection of skin visualizers using ColorMatrix to control colors based on sound level and frequency.

Low frequencies drive Blue coloration
Mid frequencies drive Green coloration
High frequencies drive Red coloration

Scale-able via mouse scroll
Right-click options menu

Graphics: Globe | Color Wheel | Corded Wheel | Letters | Ripples | Color Wall
Stereo versions: Globes and Lightbars

Skins will use a bit more CPU due to the Colormatrix, but most use less than 5~10 percent.
Upscaling will increase CPU demand.

I thought I had checked everything...

Update: Corrected scaling on stereo globes when only background is showing. (Link in first post updated)

I added 2 animated GIF examples (they take a few seconds to open on MediaFire).

Enjoy!

This is excellent, thanks!

I noticed (on Windows 10) that the Title/Artist does not populate when playing from a web page (Bandcamp) or from Groove Music or VLC (Windows 10 apps). How does the Title/Artist look up the info?

Thanks!

The skin uses the NowPlaying plugin to get the Title/Artist from the source. But, it does not support the players you mentioned.

I don't know of any other way to get that info from those apps.

Thanks fonpaola

I'll incorporate that to retrieve the VLC title in the next update.
