This may be a dumb question, But can't you just run it directly without the need for a script?

It seemed to work for me....

You're commenting on a problem that was being discussed several versions (and almost three years) ago. My guess is that something in Rainmeter's code changed between then and now that made it possible to execute the RDP links directly. This is great news! But trust me, if this had been possible back then, I wouldn't have gone through the trouble I did to make it work. I'm just way too lazy for that...
