Yeah, I guess it's fine this way too. Me, I used to use the Interactive Mode only on the 1st run of a program I wanted to allow (I installed all of them after the OS), otherwise left it on Policy-Based Mode (aka the "whitelist" mode, where one denies everything bar what specifically allowed), exported the configuration, and never bothered with it again. 8-)

Hello again!

If I pay for a HWiNFO Pro license, can I just install it on top and then get away with
not having to reconfigure all the Gadgets (v.5.5.1) (x13 meters) I use?
Or preferably update to Gadgets 7.7.0 and not having to reconfigure anything.
Except for the new graphics card.
It would be worth every dollar to me...

Thanks and best regards,

If you purchase HWiNFO Pro, then all you need to do is install it. The only configuration you will need to change is your GPU Meter's HWiNFO settings; because your graphics card is new there is no avoiding this. You can keep using Gadgets 5.5.1 in this case.

If you upgrade to the new free HWiNFO, then you WILL need to install the latest Gadgets and you WILL need to reconfigure all your HWiNFO settings from scratch. The new Gadgets no longer uses the Shared Memory Viewer and thus does not need or use HWiNFO Pro.

In either case, you will not have to reconfigure ALL your Gadgets, just the ones that use HWiNFO (CPU Meter and GPU Meter). The skins that do not use HWiNFO (and even the part of the skins that are just for things like appearance), will keep all their settings.

Many thanks for the comprehensive answer, just the way I want it, straight and concise.
I'm keeping my "baby"... or should I say my "babies"...
After the next pension, there will be less salt in the porridge for a month.
I'll get back at you when I have the pro version.

EDIT: I figured out the issue, I simply just updated my HWINFO and it's not reporting correct clock speeds.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,

I'm having an issue with HWINFO not reporting the correct clock speeds. I have a 10900k that runs at 4.9GHz.

When I edit HWINFO settings for Gadgets and pop in my core clock speeds I just get 999MHz.

I did try changing from "Core Clock" to "Core Tx Effective Clock" but that just changed the frequencies to something that's also incorrect.

Here is what Gadget's is showing:

Here is the list of HWINFO indexes:

When I opened HWINFO's sensors I did see a sensor correctly reporting the CPU clock but it's not showing on the index list anymore. I dunno what I goofed up but I can't see it anymore, and now this is all I have:

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

HWiNFO Pro and Gadgets are in place, the new GPU works perfectly,
it gets a bit hot so I cranked up the fans a bit, and it stays quiet, I like that.
Thanks for the support, I love my Gadgets!

Edit:
I see that GPU Meter can show 2 fan values, but of course I don't know how...

Is that setting available in Gadgets 5.5.1?
