Speedfan and Coretemp

Some might know, but both Speedfan and CoreTemp cause issues on Windows 8.1 (either BSOD or a hung up system), meaning a section of my desktop skins are now useless. I was wondering if anyone knew of a Rainmeter replacement for this. I did receive the CoreTemp RC7 beta that has been said to have been working properly, but for me it is not.

I use HWInfo and the HWInfo plugin for Rainmeter with no difficulties, and in fact like it very much.
