Helo @ all.
I've a little question.
In the "about" there is the "log" tab with a "clear" option.
By clicking "clear", the log seems empty.
Closing the about and reopening it again the log has the same content as bevor it was cleaned.
What's the sense ?
best regards

Why the "clear" button in the "log" tab ?

This is an unexpected and surprisingly useful feature.root_ wrote:By clicking "clear", the log seems empty.

You can click [Clear] to get rid of all the error messages and other stuff that was being shown to give you a clean sheet for debugging. However, every once in a while you may want to go back and find out what little bug or glitch it was you were trying to fix in the first place (or at least I do). This you can do by simply closing, re-opening and then scrolling to the bottom of the (now restored) 'About / Log' window.
Therein lies sense
.. but then maybe other users have other uses?

Right. The point of it is for debugging a skin you are working on. If you have a bunch of skins loaded, you can get a mix of a lot of log messages while Rainmeter is running and you are refreshing things. If you click the clear button, then refresh just the skin you are working on, the only items in the log window will be about that skin. Makes it much easier to spot a problem.
It doesn't actually "delete" the log, just clears the window. When you close the window and open it again, the actual log in full is again displayed.

OK,
you've convinced me both.
this is a good argument.
