Failed to install

I just downloaded Rainmeter for the 1st time, but it failed to install with a diagnostic that perhaps I need to install Visual C++ 2010 :?

I had the same error too on win7 x64. I went to http://rainmeter.net/redist and then downloaded and installed the Visual C++ 2010 SP1 redistributable package. Restarted, then re-ran the rainmeter installation file and it worked.
