And I'm here with my newest project!
The "Stealthy" Suite!
^
That is the DeviantArt link to the preview of my newest "Utilities Suite".
(Now I know there are scary text blocks below here. I know that. It's okay.
Take a deep breath. AND READ THAT SHTUFF! Trust me, I wrote it for a reason,
and if you read it, everything will make sense. I promise.)
So a quick iteration of what the suite is about:
Most of us who use computers/laptops don't go about our day "staring at our desktops" the whole time.
We like to do all sorts of cool stuff with our computer,
type up word documents for work, research for homework, dick around on the internet,
entertain ourselves, watch pirated movies, all that fun stuff.
So you really only have a tiny amount of time actually looking at the cool rainmeter stuff you've got set up.
But. I wanted do all that, and still stay connected to rainmeter!
So that's what got me working on this suite!
All of the skins are docked to either sides of the screen, and hide when your cursor leaves so
it is completely unobtrusive to anything else you have open.
You can type up little reminders on the notes;
open applications; change songs; turn up or down the system volume;
and all sorts of really cool and useful stuff.
I've made it a general rule for my suite that
"Right-click" is open, and "Left-click" is close.
I've set it that way because I don't want users herp-derping, randomly, accidentally
opening the skins and then rage to themselves about having to close the skin now,
and just how annoying that is.
SO, that rule generally applies to all of the skins, except for the music player.
it's kind of special (I did name the whole suite after it), there's nothing to open anyways.
Well, other than the separate progress bar skin anyways, but shh.
Also, Most of the skins have a counterpart variable,
meaning a variant for the other side of the screen, for more customizing funtazzle-shizz;
As well as a settings window for each one of them.
In the settings window, you can fool around with the colours, fonts, and other cool stuff,
so you could tailor the skin to an appearance that suits YOU.
(Meaning if you ever have any of my skins in a screenshot,
be sure to send a link my way so I get to see what you've tinkered with! )

One of the really cool things here I'd like to mention is the "Appli" skin:
Unlike most other app launchers where you have to set a file path and all that,
I've made use of the "FileView Plugin"!
Now what I mean by that is, I have a folder in the @Resources folder,
named "Applications" (which you can access easily through the skin itself),
in that folder, are shortcuts to applications/programs.
All you need to do is go to the "Program Files" in windows,
click on the program you use more often, make a shortcut,
and then throw that shortcut in the "Applications" folder,
refresh the Appli skin, and then voila!
Easy setup, it's there!
Right-click an app, and you're there. You got what you want.
Happy? Thought so.

The skins are all done, the only thing that needs finishing now are the
"Settings window" skins for each of the actual skins.
So stay tuned!
I'll make a video on using the suite once it's all finished,
and figured out how to use a screen recording program.
Fingers crossed I don't screw up making the video.
The whole suite should be done in a few weeks,
and then you guys can dick around on the internet while changing songs all you want,
in style.
Tell me what you think! or what you'd like to see!
