Question regarding placement of Rainmeter Skins

Post by megamoney9 »

Hi, I am a relatively new rain meter user and was having trouble with all of my skins on my desktop. The problem is that I can't move them past a certain point on the left-most half of the screen. The coordinate meter in the rain-meter options has the X at "0" when the skin is only 3/4 from the right of the screen. I am assuming it's a problem of reading the coordinates of my desktop, can anyone help? Thanks! Much appreciated.

This happen to any skins? Have you tried download new skins from someone else?

Look at rainmeter.ini

[SkinFolder\SkinName]
Active=0
WindowX=1726
WindowY=544
ClickThrough=0
Draggable=1
SnapEdges=1
KeepOnScreen=1
AlwaysOnTop=0

where
WindowX=
WindowY=
stands for skin position.

You can access rainmeter.ini quickly by right clicking rainmenter tray icon then clicking on "edit settings".

Hope it helps

Thanks skars, I actually figured it out! Just had to uncheck the "keep on Screen" box in the settings for each skin. Must have needed too many space.

Good that it worked!
Even though I'm not sure of what "keep on screen" does.

I thought that it was to keep skins over desktop even when pressing WinKey+M or clicking/hovering aero peek button.
