why doesnt rainmeter hide when i press the 'show desktop' button on the taskbar? does rainmeter count as a fullscreen app?

you could try setting skin's position to "Bottom" from the context menu.

I've this problem on my pc.
I'm using eMerge as shell replacement (Just using it to stop using explorer.exe and to have systray and running programs bar. Everything else is disabled).
The version of RainMeter is the last stable 2.5 Final (r1842) and Windows is 7.

I've tried to set both "Bottom" then "On Desktop" on all of my skins but no success

any help?

Found a workaround!
If you have both eMerge and Rainmeter you can follow this procedure :
1- download this app http://www.northcode.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1365&postcount=6
2- extract it (I did it in the Rainmeter plugins folder)
3- Open the emergeHotkey applet and edit the WIN+D shortcut
4- Make it like this one "%ProgramFiles%\Rainmeter\Plugins\minall.exe rainmeter.exe" (it will minimize all but rainmeter)
5- save save save

It works like a charm
