I-Radio

Post by eclectic-tech »

 There is an issue with the FileList plugin in this skin.
I am removing it from public use due to lack of support available for this plugin
and the strange skin interactions that can happen when using it.

I'm going to stick with the built-in plugins

Internet Radio using the new mouse wheel function to navigate.
More than 60 stations are included and instructions on adding stations.
Automatically sets the correct interface for all fully supported NowPlaying
media players by middle-clicking the player name.
Search Google by Title or Artist.
Direct link to Shoutcast website (Corrected link... re-download or edit). DOH! :?
Navigation panel can be hidden.
Configuration editor included.
Detailed Instructions in "#@#Resources\Playlist\How to use I-Radio.txt".

Buttons modified from RadioNow by JSMorley.

I experienced the similar symptom when I had 2 completely separate skins active that both accessed the filelist plugin. I believe one was just reacting to the changes by the other skin to filelist plugin.

But you are using the quote plugin, not the filelist plugin, and seeing the some type of interaction, hmmm...
(EDIT: I use a "gallery" skin that uses the quote plugin and do not see any interaction -or refresh- when I scroll the I-Radio list.?)

The post for the mousewheel addition says it needs focus to act, but apparently something else may be happening.

Wonder if the Dev Team can look into this?

You want even weirder... As you see in my desktop screenshot, I have 4 different "slide shows". When I scroll in your skin, only 3 of them are changing! the only difference in them, is that the un-affected and non-interactive first picture shows ram usage info when you mouse over, while the other three that are affected, show the interactive menus when you mouse over... Here is the code for the unaffected one if it helps...

Code: Select all

; And So It Begins...

I will ponder this, but it will probably take a better mind than the combination of both ours :???:to figure out what's happening...

Can one or both of you be more clear about what you are seeing? What skins are involved, do they both have scroll actions on them? Are they by chance overlapping (share some point on the screen)?

I don't really understand what is being described. When you scroll on a skin with a Quote plugin, that skin is reacting to the scroll action properly, but some random other skin is "refreshing" at the same time?

The only thing I experienced was having 2 skins active I-Radio (above) and Music_Nav_Plus... both utilize the filelist plugin.

When I had focus on the I-Radio skin, and scroll the mouse wheel, both file lists scrolled. The Musiv_Nav skin was written long ago, and does not use the mouse wheel function, so I believed I was seeing the reaction to changes in the filelist plugin in both skins. To me that was understandable...

However, CybOrspam is seeing something different... I do not have his skins to try, and as I said, I use a gallery skin with a timed refresh using the quote plugin, and it is not affected by any scroll action on I-Radio... ??

okay, let's see if I can make this clear... There are 4 separate slide shows on my desktop. You can see them in the screenshot in my signature. They are completely independent skins. One of them (the only one unaffected), will show RAM usage meters when you mouse over it. The other three function as "launcher" menus when you mouse over them. Now, I activated eclectic-tech's skin, and placed it under the "window" on the right side of my screen. Clicked on it to give it "focus" and then scrolled through his list of stations. With each click of the mouse wheel, all three of my "launcher slide shows" changed their images, or I am assuming "refreshed". None of them use the filelist plugin that I am aware of, and none of them are overlapped with each other, or with eclectic-tech's skin. None of them use any type of scrolling feature at this time either. Only eclectic-tech's skin has focus and is being scrolled.

Up above, I posted the code for one of the affected slide show launchers, as well as the code for the one unaffected skin. The three affected skins are identical aside from dimensions, graphic used, and program paths.

Let me know if you need all my skins, and I will make up an .rmskin for you.
