Skins over othere windows

Post by bzadi »

Hello.
I'm having this problem for years now and i just can't figure out how to solve it. Almost every time i start explorer or firefox the skins of rainmeter are over the other windows, but if i click the windows they go to the desktop. I have set all of them to be on the desktop and tried other methods but with no success.

So can anyone help me with this please. Thanks!

And you have the skins set to "On Desktop"?

But as i said, the skins are over the other windows only at first when i open them, after i click on the windows they go to the desktop. I use keyboard shortcuts to open my explorer and firefox, not my mouse.

Well that is really weird. Is there any other software (some shell utility, fences, some monitor or virtual monitor software, anything that effects the "desktop") that you are running that isn't standard Windows?

I use a custom skin on windows but that's it, nothing else. And i have tried with a fresh installation of windows but it's still the same.

Well, I'm stumped. Even if using "keyboard shortcuts" to open the applications doesn't initially give them "focus" that shouldn't matter if the skins are set to On Desktop. I'm not sure what you are seeing here. Have you updated to the latest display driver for your graphics card lately?
