Manually editing the skin isn't required to customize it. The way to remove icons from the Actions Bar is to middle click the "Edit" Button. Then the Configure window should appear, where you change the skin's variables (Note: left clicking opens the Suite's Variables). For example, if you want to hide the "Rainmeter" icon, set Hide.Rainmeter to 1 and press the "Set" button.
Wifi: Currently, if you hover the icon, it should display the current connected network, and its strength. Using the WifiPlugin, a list of the accessible networks can be shown; but the plugin doesn't support "click to connect". So it would be there for a quick look only. That defeats the purpose for me. But if you want it, I maybe take a look to see if I can make it optional. You will have to wait a bit though, as I am currently taking my exams.
As for the skin itself, I'm glad that you found the use you wanted. One of my main objectives was to make the suite easily customizable to suit anyone's needs.
