Wow, I was wondering why recently rainmeter had been bogging down my quadcore (10% load idle) when I was running 4 skins. Now I know where to look in the future. (Especially useful now that I've got a new test subject running a P4 2.4GHz w/ 2GB RAM, Vista Ultimate).

I was a bit skeptical it would have a noticeable improvement - but wow.
It cut down the load time dramatically.
And I saved a whole 6kb of space! (That's more than half of the un-edited .ini file.)
Definately worth doing if you know what you're doing.

The latest beta version of Rainmeter has a modified RainThemes that pretty much does what RainClean does with just one checkbox and no need for a second program.

I'd hadn't thought twice about that one little checkbox, but I finally gave it a try and WOW what a difference. Instead of loading up over the span of one to two minutes, one skin at a time, it all popped up at once in a matter of seconds. Nicely done!
