When trying to create a rmskin package for my 32bit WinXP system, it appears that both versions (32bit & 64bit) of Plugins are required before the "Add" button activates ... at least I think that's why it remains "greyed out".
BUT, I do not have the 64bit versions; Rainmeter only installs the versions for the system it finds, in my case 32bit WinXP.
I have looked through all the installation files and do not find them.
Questions:
1. Is there a way to create a rmskin with only 32bit plugins?
2. Or a way to get the 64bit versions on my system so they can be added?
Possible Answers:
1. Yes ... Please explains
2. No ... Okay I'm outta luck
3. None of the above... (I am I completely ignorant)
Thanks
Remember: If you choose '3', I can find out where you live!

Re: Skin Packager and new .rmskin format - Plugins Versions
You want to include a plugin that is already installed by Rainmeter? All users will have that, so you don't have to include it. If you found it somewhere else, then you should also find a x64 version of it.
So, if you want to include, e.g. Webparser, you don't have to. The other Rainmeter installation has it, too.

1) You don't ever, EVER create a skin that includes any of the plugins that already ship with Rainmeter.eclectic-tech wrote:When trying to create a rmskin package for my 32bit WinXP system, it appears that both versions (32bit & 64bit) of Plugins are required before the "Add" button activates ... at least I think that's why it remains "greyed out".

2) If you create a 3rd-party plugin in C++ or C#, you need to create both 32bit and 64bit versions of the plugin. We don't want, and won't facilitate, folks distributing skins that have only one, as they will only work on 1/2 of user's systems.
3) If you are creating a skin using someone else's 3rd-party plugin you got from somewhere, you need to get both the 32bit and 64bit versions of the plugin. No doubt available from where you got it in the first place. If you can't, or if the author only made a single version of it and not the other, then see 2) above. Don't distribute the skin.
