Rainmeter-2.3-r1471-RC1.exe or any previous versions I know doesn't have this threat.

Re: Threat detected in Rainmeter 2.3 release?
A "reputation" alert from an antivirus just means it is a new file that the antivirus doesn't recognize. It is a false positive in any case.

fair enough, since the file is 50 minutes old.jsmorley wrote: A "reputation" alert from an antivirus just means it is a new file that the antivirus doesn't recognize. It is a false positive in any case.

No, thank you. We will explore further to see if there is anything we need to do be be sure the major antivirus makers don't get false hits.geronimo11 wrote: fair enough, since the file is 50 minutes old.

Re: Threat detected in Rainmeter 2.3 release?
This is a false alarm.
Do this: Right-Click on the Norton icon is the "notification area" (or system tray). Select "View Recent History". Select the "Quarantined" Rainmeter .exe file (rainmeter-2.3.exe), and on the menu to the right, Select "More Details". From here there should be a "Option" link at the bottom. Select it, and, then select "Restore".
This happens when you are one of the first people to download a .exe that Norton has not "seen" yet.

Re: A question about Rainmeter 2.3 release
This should be fixed in Norton now. Can someone confirm by updating Norton and then downloading Rainmeter 2.3?
