Media Player animation on desktop?

Post by laminim »

Hey all, I'm new to Rainmeter and I'd like some feed back on this idea. I want to create bars that will be hidden in the bridge when music is not being played, but when music is being played (using an iTunes plugin like this one http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/sysmonitor/rainmeter/?q=iTunes&order=9&offset=48#/d41xhp4) they will light up and be synchronized to the song.

I'd like the lines to grow and shrink as the music changes like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzvJkWWFPoA

Can something like this be done, or has it been done? Thanks for the feedback!

This is what it would look like if all the bars were at their full height.

Really not possible today. A plugin of some kind would need to be written to interact either with the media player or the sound card, and even then Rainmeter is just not designed to do that kind of animation. The best you could hope for would be something that is out of sync with the music and eating up 90% of your CPU.
