Couldn't seem to find a definition, but what is the difference between a 'config' and a 'meter'?

Edit - Nevermind.
...
Does anyone have an idea if fading groups will be possible soon?

Can I also add a config for a skin under Docs\Rainmeter\Skins\* to the Rainmeter.ini file under Program Files\Rainmeter... ?
Did you install Rainmeter in "portable" mode with the .zip file? (and renaming Default.ini to Rainmeter.ini BEFORE running Rainmeter the first time) If so, then yes, although I'm not sure why you would manually add a config to Rainmeter.ini. Just load the config from the context menu or RainBrowser, and all that is done for you.

Fading meters with a bang is not on the radar at all. Rainmeter doesn't work that way. You can fade individual meters if the meter type supports transparency (and most do in one way or another with the color "alpha" settings), although it is a bit tricky as you need to use dynamic variables and calc measures to change the alpha of the meter based on some value returned by a measure or "counter".

Ahhhh, I see. Thank you. I will stick with hiding groups for now ;)
Appreciate the help.

If you really want some fading, take a look at this: http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5041
And implement what you need in you skins.
Hack'n'slash time.
I don't think, therefore I'm not.
