Music Player problems

Post by Ninjacookie »

I'm having a problem with the Music player, and don't know how to fix it.

I'm currently using Spotify.

I've been away for a while, so I'm not sure... but I don't think Now Playing supports Spotify.

What do you have set as Player in your configuration?

As to the text being chopped, it looks like the setting for the Width of the text meter(s) is off.
You might Right Click > Edit and look for those meters - the width setting should be easy to spot and adjust for testing.

Hope it helps. Someone more knowledgeable (and up to date) should be along soon.

Cheers,

the nowplaying plugin supports Spotify
Spotify: PlayerName=Spotify
Partially supported. Only the types Artist, Track and the bangs Play, PlayPause, Stop, Next, and Previous are available.
so, no it does not support displaying the album cover, which is probably your main concern.

if you still want to use that skin, even if it does not display cover, and need help then:
- provide exact information on what your problems are.
- provide the code of the skin, so it can be searched for bugs.

Do you know what kind of player supports Spotify fully?

At the moment, only Spotify itself. This is not a limitation in Rainmeter, but in Spotify's API (the service that makes track information available to third-party software like ours). Once they expand their API, we'll be happy to make use of it.
