Core temp problems

Post by N0doze »

I just started using Rainmeter today so I hope this isn't a stupid question. I've been looking all over for people with similar problems on the forum, but I can't seem so find anything.
I can never seem to get the core temperature to work. I've even copied and pasted the example code from the online manual but it just says the temp is 0 degrees. Is there something wrong with the plug-in/is there something else I need to do first? Also, I'm using the 64-bit version if that matters.

Did you download, install and start the Core Temp program? The plugin depends on it... :)

You also need to define each device individually in the skin. see CoreTemp... :)

And the CPU has to be supported, too... :D

It's an AMD Athlon II. I think I saw it on the list.

Yes, I did. However, I didn't have it running while I was testing the skin /facepalm
So now it works! The only thing now is it displays the temp with an accented "A" after it, then degrees in Celsius. I know I saw a forum post about this recently. Any quick fix for this?

Thank you for all the helpful replies :D Much appreciated!

Hallo guys
I have problems to find a skin with support my CPU: AMD Athlon X2 6400+
I maybe tested 20 different skins - no positive results.
noone shows the cpu-temperature
My favourite skin is the GalaxySuite.

Maybe someone can help do modify the ini-file or there is a skin, what definitely works with my cpu

And you did install and run SpeedFan first? :)
