WMP Skin problem

Post by Empty Hollow »

Hi everybody!
I found this skin for winamp http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/sysmonitor/rainmeter/?q=winamp&order=9&offset=48#/d1vywwu.
So, I remake this skin for my wmp. It's worked, but a few days ago information about the song is no longer updating.
I thought that the problem is because of my hindu code, but it is not. Other skins for WMP have the same problem.
I reinstalled rainmeter, skins and but it did not help.

So... what to do? How do I fix it?

Format C:/ or Reinstall Windows is not solution =D

You must verify that the plugin is actually running. Reinstalling doesn't change the registered value of enabled or disabled if it was installed previously

Right click the top bar

then Tools -> Plugins -> and see if the WMP info plugin is checked or if it's even there. If its not there then your reinstall isn't working.
I have three rules when I'm trying to help you.
  • Don't get mad when you don't understand something
  • Be VERY specific with what you ask for.
The more specific you are, the higher the quality of support you receive.
  • Do not just copy and paste what I put in examples and come back saying it doesn't work.
It does work, but I purposely left blanks that you need to fill for your specific needs.

So, I have found the way to fix my problem.
Here is a shamanic drum:

To fix it I had to uninstall WMP from "Enabling or disabling components of Windows". Next, I deleted from the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ MediaPlayer \
Then I uninstalled the plugin WMP and rebooted.
Next, I installed WMP and plugin.
And it worked.

poiru, santa_ryan, thanks for the tips
