[Suggestion] Auto-start setting in Manage window

Post by Active Colors »

Could the auto-start setting possibly be added right in the Manage window? Right now it is only "visually" acessible during the installation/update process via the installer. It is also possible to manually copy a shortcut and place it in the Startup folder but the idea is to vsiaully toggle the setting in the Rainmeter application itself, which is kinda logical.

It is logical, but a bit difficult. The issue is that the code to create the icon (and the shortcut itself) are a part of the "installer" and not Rainmeter. We can't depend on setting some value in Rainmeter.ini on a brand-new install, as Rainmeter.ini doesn't exist until the software is actually run the first time. This could be solved, but it would take a bit of doing. Consider it added to the list... ;-)
