Problem with Two Monitors

Post by Misanthrop68 »

Unfortunately, since I have an EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 XC3 ULTRA GAMING, I have problems with the times monitor.
With my Skin New Destkop I have split the display on two monitors. Which also worked flawlessly with an Asus GeForce RTX 2080 Super OC. Now when I play a game on the primary monitor, after a while the display on the secondary monitor freezes and remains visible even after closing Rainmeter.
I have Rainmeter version 4.4. r3408 beta (64-bit) and Windows 10 Pro 20H2 with current drivers.
Does anyone have an idea how I can do this with the secondary monitor?

I have read a few news reports where it is written that there are problems with HDMI 2.1. They also reported that the screen border is frayed. Which is also the case for me.
The solution mentioned in this context unfortunately does not help me. So that I hope for updates of graphics driver and firmware.

Out of curiosity, from which source are your drivers? Windows Update, NVidia, or EVGA site? The driver on the EVGA site here (Graphics Card -> Gefore 30 Series Family -> Windows 10 64bit) seems pretty recent, being released on 11/09/2020.

I have my graphics driver sucked directly from NVidia and currently version 461.09.
I have no problems via Displayport so far and games (e.g. Cyberpunk 2077, CoD Black Ops Cold War, Metro Exodus) are also displayed flawlessly with the highest setting.
Only this HDMI 2.1 still ticks around!
