Rainmeter - Network

Hello people,

i am wondering if it would be possible to split the network feature.
Now all network traffic is viewable at once.

BUT it would be far better if we had:
1) LAN (Local Network)
2) WAN (Internet)

In my opinion this would be very useful (at least for my needs).

No, I don't see that this is at all likely. Rainmeter merely measures the amount of traffic passing through the local PC's network interface, and I'm fairly certain that without some form of "packet sniffing", it doesn't have any way to know the source or destination of the traffic.

Jsmorley is right, there is no way of doing that without a packet sniffing / packet analyzer software. I use Wireshark for that scenario. What can in theory be done in Rainmeter is to have one such software "share" its data to other applications (the way HWiNFO, MSI Afterburner, CoreTemp, etc. are doing for things like CPU / GPU temperatures) so that Rainmeter can get it through a plugin (that would have to be built by someone, obviously) and display it in the skins. That being said, considering the amount of network traffic of a machine and its complexity, I'm not sure the resource consumption of such a setup (which would require the said packet sniffer / analyzer software to be installed and running, most likely along with other unrelated hardware monitor tools like the ones already mentioned) would be reasonably small...
