First, let me thank all three of those who have helped me, namely: jsmorley; balala; Yincognito. I apologise also for not responding to all of the requests in the thread.
The reply that I found unclear was indeed the one by Yincognito. However, now that I re-read that reply, I find it clear. I think that when I read it originally I was not on top form. Perhaps I was overwhelmed by my messy code and by how much was going on it, and the like.
