I even tried adding a folder to C:\Users\Kyria\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins manually and restart Rainmeter, but it won't show.

Working here without a problem... I would reboot your system and try again.

No such error here. It is added immediately. No idea...kyriakos876 wrote: ↑February 12th, 2020, 4:26 pm I'm trying to create a new skin and I get the following error:
This for sure. If you add just a folder, with no .ini file within, it won't be seen by Rainmeter. Add such a file and Rainmeter will see it. Even if the file is empty.kyriakos876 wrote: ↑February 12th, 2020, 4:26 pm I even tried adding a folder to C:\Users\Kyria\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins manually and restart Rainmeter, but it won't show.

Re: "Could not create folder" error
I didn't know that... I feel stupid for not trying it
It reads it with an .ini file in the folder. I'll just keep doing it like that atm until I find what's causing the error.
Thanks

Re: "Could not create folder" error
To create a new "top level" skin under ..\Rainmeter\Skins\
To create a new skin under an "existing" folder
To create a new skin under an "existing" folder

Yes, as far as I can tell, this exactly what kyriakos876 did, but he got an error:

Re: "Could not create folder" error
Perhaps. What we can't see from his image is if he already has a folder named Testooo, or perhaps already has a folder named NewFolder.

Re: "Could not create folder" error
My suspicion is that what he did initially was to use "New Skin" to create a folder called Testooo, but didn't create an actual "skin.ini" in the folder with the tool. Then when he closed the New Skin panel, and Rainmeter refreshed, Testooo wasn't in the list, as it doesn't have a skin in it. So he went "huh?" and tried to start over, and when he went to create Testooo, it threw an error since the folder already exists.
It's why it's called "New Skin" and not "New Folder" or "New File".

Re: "Could not create folder" error
I thought that too, but if the folder already exists, the error message will not be "Unable to create folder..." but "That folder already exists."jsmorley wrote: ↑February 12th, 2020, 7:33 pm My suspicion is that what he did initially was to use "New Skin" to create a folder called Testooo, but didn't create an actual "skin.ini" in the folder with the tool. So I believe they are dealing with something different.
