[D2D] Visul glitch

Post by Active Colors »

I have been observing strange visual... distortion?
I was able to track down in which version it started to appear.

4.2.0 - 3111 - Intended way the skin should be displayed.
4.2.0 r3111.PNG

4.3.0 - 3237 - small horizontal line started to appear (look underneath Thunderbird string)
4.3.0.3237.PNG

My best guess is the change from GDI+ to D2D in that version. It is still present in the latest builds.
I will attach a test skin in a moment.

To be honest I don't see what are you talking about. Where is that line? Could you please mark somehow in the posted picture? And indeed we're waiting for the code involved.

I assume he is talking about this. It's subtle...

Aha! It indeed is. Now I see it.
But couldn't replicate it into my own code. I simply don't see it.
So, still waiting for the code.

I believe this is related to the same issue reported here:

https://forum.rainmeter.net/viewtopic.php?f=123&t=29900

And has to do with some differences in how Antialiasing is done in D2D.
