Ao Nuu Shin wrote: January 29th, 2019, 7:45 pm Balala, if you meant to drag just the notepad skin in the desktop, I did it many times over these days and every time we were making changes to the code to make sure that it was a position/reposition problem.
This is exactly what I asked you to do. I thought that there might be another skin positioned exactly behind the Notepad. Not too probably, but nor impossible, I think. But if you dragged the skin more times and the outer border always followed it, well, to be honest, I have no more idea what it could be, especially that nor jsmorley, nor me don't have this problem.
Eventually please try to pack once again the whole config and upload it again. I know you did this before, but

Here it is. It's like an extra border for me, I have no idea why. Is it my image skin? Is it the code at the end? I don't understand what's causing it. Is it because of the ImageSize thing that is not saved in the skin folder but in the @vault > plugins > ImageSize? I don't know....

What I really need is an actual push on that to find the solution, and not snarky remarks, I am really striving on making this work. I am almost done with what I want to make in Photoshop and finally settled down on that. I have exactly one month to finish this and the only issue I am dealing with right now is this extra border which, my assumption is definitely my image, but I am not entirely sure....

No snarky remarks. But I just downloaded your package and still don't have the described issue. So a few questions:
  • What skin are we talking about? Is it the Skins\Julia's BDay gift\Chromatic Counterbug prgm\Chromatic Notepad\Chromatic Notepad.ini? (I think it is, but I asked just to be sure)
  • The extra border is shown with any value of the Thickness variable, or only for certain values of it?
  • Does the color of the extra border follows the color of the "normal" border? I mean that when the color of border is changing quickly, the color of extra border follows it exactly?

Oh, no, the "snarky remarks" thing wasn't going for you personally, Balala, on the contrary, you proved to me many times over, that you are the only actual member that wants legit to help others and teach them about stuff. But I am moving on, and back to the issue at hand....

Yes, the Chromatic Notepad.ini and the Notepad White Neon Light.ini .
I have no idea why they using extra border on me, seriously, if it is working fine for you, then something is definitely on my end, thing is, I have no idea.
Yes, it does change at the exact same time as the base border. At the same time. There is no difference in color either, it is the exact same color in the exact same speed and pattern.

Both have the same issue? Because Notepad White Neon Light.ini doesn't change the color, but the extra border is there as well in this skin?
Try one more: unload all skins, except the incriminated one. Make sure you've unloaded all of them. For this you have to open the Manage dialog and on the Skins tab click the Active skins button. A list of loaded skins is shown. Make sure Chromatic Notepad.ini or Notepad White Neon Light.ini is the only loaded skin.
Is the extra border still there?
Also is the border present for any value of the Thickness variable, or just for some?

Correct, both same issue.
I did that, in fact they are the only ones I have right now open on desktop.
Yes, the border is there no matter what value I change it at.

Extremely weird!!!
Try to add a Hidden=1 option to the [MeterBackground] meter and refresh the skin. The colorful border does disappear, but let's see if the extra border does as well, or not.

I did. The whole border disappeared and there's only the white dot with the notepad which they are still activated every time I press on them.
When I say the whole border, I mean both the extra and the main border.*

This means that the extra border is given by the [MeterBackground] Shape meter. Now we have to figure out which of its elements is giving that border.
So, for first please comment out the shape16 option of the [MeterBackground] meter and refresh the skin. If the extra border is still there, comment out Shape15 and refresh. Go on until the extra border disappears. Important is to downward comment out consecutively the options and refresh the skin after each such operation.
What was the last commented out ShapeXX option, when the extra border disappeared?

Hey, so, that's the whole code for the crhomatic / rainbow notepad for example. Are you sure it's on the meter? I think so too...
