Sound Rings

{Click to animate}
Yet another Visualizer! :sly:

This one is fairly resource friendly! It displays expanding rings for 5 frequencies (50~15000 Hz).
Scale circles from 30~300 pixels using mouse scrolls.
Spacing, Color, Gradient Fill, and Base Expansion Speed can be set in the file variables.

Short Preview AVI (Can also be viewed in most Media Players: WMP, VLC, WinAmp, etc.): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Cq5ktrQLVb5YnQaLXUI5Mf_I_kmez4jJ

Enjoy!

Update v 1.2018.11.30
- Added scale using mouse scroll (Circle Size from 30 to 300)
- Initial Spacing based on half circle size
- Arranged Rings for better visual relationship when fill is used
- Changed Speed implementation (see note in [Variables] for setting suggestion)

- Updated v 1.2018.11.29 (I'm trying not to tinker too much :x )
- Added Hide when no sound is present (doh... how did I forget that?!)
- Modified fill to a gradient that matches ring transparency change during expansion.
- Set colors for gradients separate from dot & ring
- Modified Loop speed formula for better response
- Added context menu to toggle baseline

V 1.2018.11.29
I wasn't happy with flat fill, so I added a few features regarding optional gradient fill
- you can set gradient colors for the fill and separate color for the dot & rings. :D
Improved response formula for expanding rings.

"Tinker" ... "Tinker" ... :Whistle

Hello, nice skin you got there.
I installed it and I gotta ask if it's normal for it to freeze Rainmeter (all of the skins) while the mouse is moving?
Cuz that's what it's doing for me :confused:

EDIT: This seems to be happening only when I click on the desktop thus giving it focus.... When, task manager, for example is focused, everything works fine.

Not seeing anything like that on my system. This visualizer uses less resources than most; yes, it updates every 16 ms, but half of the 10 measures are paused all the time. There are no bangs in the skin that would react to mouse actions; just the normal Rainmeter actions to drag or open the context menu.
Not sure what to suggest, I have it running with a dozen other skins without any issue like you describe. :uhuh:

@balala Thanks! :bow:

I tried loading the skin to further check it, and here's what happened when I double clicked it to load the skin:

I didn't touch anything for 1 minute, and Rainmeter saved itself from crashing and started responding again, but the skin was never loaded.
I'll try and further investigate this to see if it's something wrong with my system? idk....

Okay, so... more bad news... I tried to load the skin many times but it kept making Rainmeter unresponsive... I ended the task with task manager and then I couldn't get Rainmeter to run until I went to Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\SoundRings and deleted everything. Then Rainmeter ran normally. That's pretty weird...
If you wanna check via Team Viewer, dm me because I cant record full screen for more than 4 seconds with GIFCam and I don't know of any good screen recorder either.

No problem running it here. Very lightweight in fact.
