You can't. You can however set up a gmail account or use the one you have and then have that gmail account "pull" your mail from your hotmail account via POP so you can use your gmail checker skin. You can have it just add the hotmail stuff to your existing gmail account, or set up a new one specifically for this if you want.

It's what I do to get my Mom's AOL email (she doesn't want to change her email address and give it out to hundreds of people) over to gmail so she can use a decent client instead of AOL's horrible, horrible stuff.
