Are you talking about FolderInfo in Kotoko Suite? if so, then answer will be:

For changing paths use Edit Variables Tool what can be loaded from KotokoConfigurationTool.ini, button "Variables"

For changing icons, just Middle Mouse Down Click!

1. can you be more explicit, what is that skin do?

2-if hotmail provides a feed for mail it is doable, if not you can not, and as far as I know there is no feed from hotmail
